What started as a dream, drawn on a piece of paper over dinner turned into a reality and TEAM VALIDUS was born. We started Team Validus because of our love for helping and seeing people from all walks of life achieve their health and fitness goals.

We have created an inclusive environment for people of all levels of fitness and capabilities. Our facilities, training and meal prep services ensure that there is something to suit everyone, no matter your health and fitness goals.

Over the years, we have both accumulated a lot of knowledge with our varied experiences. We love using and sharing that knowledge with our members and clients to help them be more active, move better, feel better, be stronger and implement long term consistent health and fitness habits.

Welcome to our dynamic team at Team Validus Fitness HQ! We’d like to introduce ourselves, Alicia & Jon who are the dedicated owners as well as personal trainers. Together we bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to help you achieve your health and fitness goals, utilizing our unique backgrounds and expertise to create personalized fitness plans that encompass exercise, nutrition, and overall wellness.

Alicia MArtin - Owner / Trainer

  • ICN 2023 Ms Sports Model Pro & 2023 ICN Sports Model 30+ National Champion

  • BSc (Sports Science), Grad Dip Education

  • 6+ years Personal Training Experience

  • 2021 ICNWA State Title Winner

Alicia is a prime example of never being denied your success. With a never give up attitude, she put her head down, focused on her training and nutrition to take out the 2021 ICN state title, even after a hip labral tear. In 2023, after 18months of dedication, commitment and in a sign of true grit riding out the highs and lows, Alicia became National Champion in the ICN Sports Model 30+ and in the process, became an ICN Ms Sports Model Pro Card Holder.

Alicia has been a personal trainer for 6 years. Alicia is a highly qualified individual with a passion for sports science and a strong background in physical education. With a degree in sports science, she possesses a deep understanding of the human body and its mechanics. Alicia is loves to help people achieve their health and fitness goals, as well as writing specialised programs to assist with strengthening injured and rehabilitation.

Her expertise extends beyond the realm of exercise, as she is also a qualified nutrition coach. Alicia's commitment to improving overall well-being shines through in her approach to training, where she emphasizes the importance of balanced nutrition alongside physical activity.

Alicia is also an ambassador for the Perth Blood Institute.

 

Jon HAN - Owner / Trainer

  • 3 Year Army Vet, Diploma Hospitality and Business Management

  • 6+ Year Personal Training Experience

  • 10 Years Chef (3 Years Executive Chef)

Jon is an experienced Personal Trainer, having been in the Fitness industry for 6 years. Jon brings a unique set of skills and experiences to Team Validus. Having served as a soldier, he has experienced first hand and understands the importance of team work, discipline and resilience, as well as physical and mental toughness that has assisted in him becoming an incredible trainer.

Not only is Jon well versed in the Fitness industry, he is also a highly sought after ex - chef, where his knowledge of food & nutrition is second to none. His background as a head chef not only highlights his culinary expertise but also showcases his attention to detail and commitment to providing a holistic approach to health.

In addition to his culinary skills, Jon has a diverse sports background, having been involved in Australian Rules Football (AFL), cricket, and even excelling as a junior state swimmer. His firsthand experience in these sports has honed his knowledge of athletic training and has given him valuable insights into achieving peak performance. He is quick to build a strong rapport with his clients and the results his client’s reach speak volumes.
